Since 2005 the Shortfilmfestival of Bolzano, Italy, has a section dedicated to the experimental films. Initially they were shown on installations and during exhibitions highly appreciated by the audience.

Since 2008 ShortFilmExperiment is also a competition with its own money-prize.

	In the living room the woman sits down next to the man and says nothing. That is the end, and at the same time it marks the beginning of a transformation in the logic of events.

	Witness II (Michael Nyman)
	UNITED KINGDOM | 2008 | 6 min.
	Auschwitz, Poland. Annotated photographs (name, serial number, entrance date, death date) of Polish Jews murdered in Auschwitz reveal themselves in the beautiful “knots” that Nyman noticed on the wood strips from which their accommodation huts were made in Birkenau. These “knots” symbolize the deeply rooted scars left by the atrocities committed during the Jewish Holocaust which have haunted the generations that survived the war and their descendants.

	ICH BOMBE (Daniel KLEIN)
	FRANCE | 2008 | 22 min.
	ICH BOMBE is the 1970's fake film-journal of J.-C. Gautier, schizophrenic resident of the Clermont Val d'Oise Mental Institute. His film documents the amateur revolution plotted by the crypto-terrorist cell formed wihin hospital confines and led by Gautier's psychiatrist, Dr. Keller.

	A journey to Chernobyl and the search wormwood are interlaced with Tarkovskij's Stalker. The "Mozart-effect" and the Bible prophecies are called into question. It becomes an investigation of our desire to believe in connections and easy explanations.
